Poczta Polska introduces an electronic notification service for new mail

The service includes registered shipments, providing recipients with information directly via SMS or e-mail.
From 5 February 2024, customers will receive notification of the expected delivery date and, in the event of absence, information about the possibility of collection at a postal outlet.
The service, available at no extra charge, applies to both registered mail and parcels.
In order to take advantage of the novelty, senders must provide contact details of the addressee when sending the parcel, which can be done either traditionally or electronically.
Despite digitalisation, the paper advice note still remains in use for legal reasons.
This service does not apply to shipments with declared value or those subject to special delivery procedures under other laws.
